have you ever wondered about the best fuel efficient car in the world.

well Toyota Prius clamed the crown after this amazing record.

Toyota Prius : is a full hybrid electric mid-size car developed and manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation.

Gasoline/Petrol engine: 1.8 L 2ZR-FXE I4 Dual VVT-i(Atkinson cycle)
Power: 98 hp @ 5,200 rpm
Torque: 105 lb-ft @ 4,000 rpm
Electric motor: Power: 80 hp
Torque: 153 lb-ft

and after searching the internet i found that it has the best mileage as follows:

2010 Prius:

• 51 mpg_-US (4.6 L/100 km; 61 mpg_-imp) city driving
• 48 mpg_-US (4.9 L/100 km; 58 mpg_-imp) highway driving
• 48 mpg_-US (4.9 L/100 km; 58 mpg_-imp) combined

Toyota Prius can hold up to 11.9 gallons(45 L) of fuel, so if we calculated the mileage that this car can cover with a full tank of fuel, 11.9*48 = 571.2 miles = 913.92 km !!!!

the wierd thing is that the car is pretty big and has alot of room in it .

In the US the Prius will have a starting base price (MSRP :manufacturer’s suggested retrail price ) of US $ 21,750. This base model or Prius I will be available in October.
